Scandinavia is a vast area and the people truly embrace the festive season celebrating it for a month; making something special during the long dark winter. Hygge is part of this – it’s a word that describes the mood of being cozy, warm & comfortable, creating a feeling of happiness and spending time with friends & family. This of course involves food and we hope to recreate a little bit of hygge at the Café with this menu

First course:
Preserved Plum, Blue Cheese & Pecan Salad

Second course:
Roasted Squash & Kale Danish Pastry with a beetroot & caper salad

Third course:
Mushroom Pate with Swedish crispbread & pickled cucumber

Main course:
Beef & Pork Meatball served with cream sauce,
rotmos- root vegetable mash and braised red cabbage

Dessert:
Kladdkaka with whipped cream
Swedish Sticky Chocolate Cake

After dinner indulgence:
Serinakaker
Norwegian Butter Christmas Cookie

As numbers are limited, pre-booking is essential. A deposit of £10 per person is payable when booking. If you do need to cancel your reservation, we’ll require at least two weeks’ notice. After this time all deposits will be non-refundable and
non-transferable to other events.
